ACTION SONGS COMPETITION PRIMARY SCHOOLS ( LEVEL 1 ) PERINGKAT DAERAH KANOWIT 2011 TARIKH : 8 APRIL 2011 MASA : 8.00 pagi TEMPAT : Astaka SK Rantau Kemiding PENDAHULUAN Pertandingan ACTION SONG kategori Tahap 1 peringkat Daerah Kanowit pada tahun ini akan dijalankan di Sekolah Kebangsaan Rantau Kemiding . Tujuan program ini adalah untuk menggalakkan dan meningkatkan penggunaan bahasa English dikalangan pelajar sekolah rendah iaitu bermula dari tahap satu lagi. Selain itu ia juga dapat membina keyakinan dan keberaniaan dalam memggunakan bahasa Ingeris dikalangan murid-murid di sekolah. 2. OBJECTIVES The Action Song Competition is held with the following objectives; 2.1 To encourage and increase the use og English language among the younger pupils. 2.2 To build confidence and sense of ease with English Language among the younger pupils. 2.3 To developed skills of integrating scripting of music and movement with language. 2.4 To provide a platform for âfun and happy learning.â Competition Rules Eligibility : This competeition is open to Level 1 pupils only. Team : Each team should comprise 15 students accompanied by 2 teachers. Performers and musicians should be from within this 15 team member. Organizers : The competition is held at the following levels: 1. The National Level is organized by the state appointed by the Ministry of Edcation. 2. The State Level is organized by the District Education Office appointed by the State Education Department. 3. Competition at the District Level is organized by the District Education Office while the school level is organized by the respective schools. 4. The winner of the competition at the state level will represent the state at the National Level. 5. Participation at the National Level is subjected to the financial allocations for contestants, accompanying teachers and officers. Time : On-stage presentation is allocated 5 â 8 minutes. No marks will be awarded thereafter. A time allocation of 2 minutes is allocated for stage arrangements, with the teachers as stage technicians. -2- Theme : Choice / selection of theme is open. OBJECTIVES The Action Song Competition is held instincts The courage we need to face our fears We need the courage to see the future The courage we need to with the following objectives; 2.1 To encourage and increase the use og English language among the younger pupils. 2.2 compare facts and opinion We need the courage to think right The courage we need to see if our friends trust us We To build confidence and sense of ease with English Language among the younger pupils. 2.3 To developed skills of need the courage to ask questions The courage we need to survive We need the courage to convince ourselve to do integrating scripting of music and movement with language. 2.4 To provide a platform for âfun and happy learning.â something We have to prepare ourselve for any thing that comes up! Courage Competition Rules Eligibility : This competeition is open to Level 1 pupils only. Team : Each team should comprise 15 students accompanied by 2 teachers. Performers and musicians should be from within this 15 team member. Organizers Please download to view : The competition is held at the following levels: 1. The National Level is organized by the state appointed by the Ministry of Edcation. 2. The State Level is organized by the District Education Office appointed by the State Education Department. 3. Competition at the District Level is organized by the District Education Office while the school level is organized by the respective schools. 4. The winner of the competition at the state level will represent the state at the National Level. 5. Participation at the National Level is subjected to the financial allocations for contestants, accompanying teachers and officers. Time : On-stage presentation is allocated 5 â 8 minutes. No marks will be awarded thereafter. A time allocation of 2 minutes is allocated for stage arrangements, with the teachers as stage technicians. -2Theme : Choice / selection of theme is open. Script : Scripts can be original or adapted from any authentic texts. : Contestants are not allowed to refer to any notes or texts during presentation. : Copies of the script must be sumitted to the organizers two weeks prior to the competition. : Scripts should not touch on senitive issues such as race, religion, colour, personalities, politics, etc. Presentation : Creativity is encouraged. Nevertheless, movements should not exceed and overwhelm the articulation of the song by the contestants. Background / Props : Props and background aids should be at minimum level. Music : Use of recorde music is allowed. (tape should not have voices or words ) Judges : The competition shall be judged by an odd numbered panel of 3/5 judges. 1.
